1991: MACINDO was incorporated as an Authorized Apple Reseller
1992-3: MACINDO had grown to be one of top three largest Apple Authorized Master Resellers in Indonesia, distributing Apple computer products to over 30 nationwide network of Apple retailers
1994-5: MACINDO changed it's focus from retail to logistic and distribution. MACINDO became the largest distributor for Apple Computer related accessory products representing, AGFA (Flatbed scanner), Radius (monitor and graphic card), SuperMac (monitor and graphic card), FWB (high end hard disk), Asante (networking), Olympus (magneto optical drive) and Xante (printer)
1996: MACINDO appointed as Authorized Distributor for KODAK digital camera
1997: MACINDO had grown to be one of leading distributor for IT products in Indonesia with over 300 dealers nationwide. Total staffs had grown to over 140 full-time professionals. In the middle of 1997 Indonesia and Asia were hit by the notorious Asian financial crisis and MACINDO was forced to refocus its operation
1998-2001: These are years of hard time for all businesses in Indonesia and the region. MACINDO dropped most of its products distribution in Indonesia and refocuses on just the most potential products. MACINDO decided that digital life style gadgets such as digital camera (Kodak) are the future (Re-Inventing Strategy)
2002-3: Years of come back. MACINDO strategy (Fast Forward Strategy) and decision to focus only on digital camera have resulted in healthy growth. By the end of 2003 MACINDO had almost returned to full operation like before the Asian crisis
2004: Year of super growth. We celebrated our 14th year of achievement in distribution business in Indonesia. Our focus has made us unique as the leading distributor for life style digital products in Indonesia. MACINDO commit to support resellers (Channel Champion Strategy) by closing all of its direct selling operation and focus on nation wide network of over 300 reseller and corporate businesses. Over 2000 sales people are trained at selling our products and over half a million catalogs are sent out every month offering our products. This strategy has resulted in triple digit growth this year alone
2005: Year of opportunities. Growth by single focus, MACINDO chooses to narrow its focus on digital life style customers and dominate its market. In August, MACINDO appointed as Authorized Distributor for CREATIVE Technology (Zen MP3 Player and speaker)
2006-7:MACINDO continues to stabilize business operation by expanding in warehousing and logistic facilities. Main focus is on building strong channels infrastructure for fast product distribution pipeline. MACINDO was appointed by Sony Singapore as dealer for Sony photo printers distributor in Indonesia
2008: MACINDO will focus on sustainable and profitable growth from operation, by having wider channel distribution and smarter channel marketing
